Most in-demand neighborhoods

The Portland-area housing market saw a shift in recent months. More homes started coming on the market, giving buyers a few more options. Prices are still rising, but not as quickly as a year ago.

But there are still plenty of neighborhoods where homes are selling as fast as they came on the market.

Using data from the Regional Multiple Listing Service, we compared how many homes were on the market at the beginning of July with the number sold during the three months prior to determine the 15 most in-demand neighborhoods this summer.
